Let's make a list of 100 new (not super famous) arthouse auteurs working today (making movies/fiction features w/ in the last 5-10 years, and working on new fiction features now). So people can check out their movies. 2 here -

2 - Mia Hansen-Løve - definitely Aaron Katz (Gemini, Cold Weather) definitely * so, more indie arthouse/foreign is the vibe, not heavily Hollywood backed directors - for this list not first time directors, but auteurs w/ a unique creative voice that are building a body of work

- several features so far - self - making my 6th fiction feature now - and there are several people who have made 1 fiction feature and or doc features and are working on their next fiction feature -
- he's got a 2nd feature coming out, working on another one I think

I'd definitely want to add Pedro Costa and Las Diaz to the list, even though they are festival/arthouse famous :). Not super well known by most of the people in the US.
